The short version

You can use psiMentora without giving a name, email or phone number. An account is optional.
Your conversations are used to reply to you and to keep psiMentora safe and working. They are never sold and never used for advertising.
Your messages are processed by AI providers on our behalf (bound by contract), and voice notes are transcribed by a speech-recognition provider. See section 5.
You can delete your conversations and your account yourself, at any time, from inside psiMentora.
psiMentora is for adults 18 and over.

1. Who we are

psiMentora (the "Service") is operated by [Legal entity name, Inc.], a company organized under the laws of the State of [State], with its principal place of business at [Registered address] ("we", "us"). This Policy explains how we handle personal information when you use the psiMentora website, web app and mobile apps.

psiMentora is a supportive AI companion. It is not a healthcare provider, does not provide medical or psychological diagnosis or treatment, and is not a "covered entity" under HIPAA. This Policy, not HIPAA, governs your information.

2. What we collect

Information you give us

Conversations. The messages you type or speak to psiMentora, and psiMentora's replies. This is the core of the Service and, by its nature, may include information about your mental and emotional state, relationships, health, or other sensitive topics you choose to share.
Voice notes. If you speak to psiMentora, the audio is sent to a speech-recognition provider to be turned into text. We keep the transcript as part of your conversation; the audio file is not stored after transcription.
Account details (optional). If you create an account: a login you choose, or the identifier and email returned by the sign-in provider you pick. A password, if you set one, is stored only as a salted, one-way hash.
Payment details. Payments are handled by our payment processor. We receive a confirmation, the amount, the plan, and, for subscriptions, a token that lets the processor bill the renewal. We never see or store full card numbers.
Messages to us. Anything you send to our support email.

Information collected automatically

Session and device data. A session identifier stored in a cookie, an anonymous device identifier, IP address, browser and device type, language, and time zone. We use these to keep you signed in, to count free replies, and to prevent abuse of the free tier.
Usage data. Which features you use (for example voice playback), when, and for how long; error reports.
Referral data. If you arrive from an ad or a link, the campaign parameters in the URL (for example utm_source), so we know which channels bring people to psiMentora.
Analytics. We use a web analytics service to understand how the site is used in aggregate. Session recording ("session replay") is turned off everywhere on the Service, including chat pages.

3. Why we use it

What we don't do. We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your conversations for advertising, and we do not share them with advertisers or data brokers. We do not use your conversations to train third-party AI models.

4. Sensitive information

Conversations with psiMentora may include information about your health, mental health, sexual orientation, religion, or other sensitive topics. We process this information only to provide the Service to you and to keep it safe, as described above. By using psiMentora, you direct us to process what you choose to share for those purposes. You can delete it at any time (section 8).

We share personal information only with service providers who process it on our behalf, under contracts that limit what they may do with it:

AI model providers that generate psiMentora's replies and perform safety reviews. They receive the text of the conversation needed to produce a reply. We use these providers through business APIs whose terms prohibit using our data to train their models or for their own purposes.
Speech providers that transcribe your voice notes and synthesize psiMentora's spoken replies.
Hosting and infrastructure providers that store data and run the Service.
Payment processors that handle card payments and subscriptions.
Analytics providers, in aggregate, with session replay disabled.

We may also disclose information if required by law or legal process, to protect the safety of a person, or as part of a merger or acquisition (in which case this Policy continues to apply to your information). We do not share your conversations with anyone else, including family members, employers or insurers, unless you ask us to in writing.

6. How long we keep it

Conversations are kept until you delete them or your account. When you delete a conversation in the app, it is removed from your view immediately and permanently erased from our systems within 30 days; deleting your account erases all conversations on the same schedule.
Account data is kept while your account exists. When you delete your account, sign-in identifiers are removed. We keep a one-way hash of the identifier to prevent the free tier being reset by deleting and re-creating an account; it cannot be turned back into your identifier.
Payment records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires (typically 7 years), without conversation content.
Technical logs are rotated within a limited period and do not contain conversation text.

7. Security

All traffic between your device and psiMentora is encrypted in transit (TLS). Access to production systems is limited to staff who need it, protected by authentication, and logged. Passwords are stored only as salted, one-way hashes. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your information, we will notify you as required by law, including under the FTC Health Breach Notification Rule where it applies.

8. Your choices and rights

Delete a conversation: open the conversation and choose Delete. Delete your account and everything in it: Account, then Delete account. Both work without contacting us.
Access or correct your information: your conversations and account details are visible inside psiMentora. For a copy of your information in a portable format, email us (section 12).
Cookies: psiMentora uses a strictly necessary session cookie and an analytics cookie. You can block cookies in your browser; the Service may not work without the session cookie. We honor Global Privacy Control signals; we do not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, for which there is no common standard.
Marketing: we do not send marketing email unless you ask for it; any such email includes an unsubscribe link.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (for example to know, delete, correct, or opt out of certain uses). California residents: see our California Privacy Notice. To exercise any right, email privacy@psimentora.com. We will verify your request using your account and respond within the time the law requires. We will never treat you differently for exercising your rights.

9. Children

psiMentora is for adults 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has used psiMentora, email us and we will delete the information.

10. International transfers

We are based in the United States and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use contractual safeguards for these transfers.

11. Changes to this Policy

If we make material changes, we will post the new Policy here with a new "last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you inside psiMentora before the change takes effect.
